V For Vendetta

The movie V for Vendetta is a movie like no other. With its view through a third party character the audience is persuaded to fell compassionate for the hero, whom we find to be a terrorist. Hugo Weaving portrays V the hero of the tail with so much compassion and felling the audience doses not even need to see his face. Weavings makes some fell that even though you cannot see a face you know what he looks like. The character has many memorable quotes throughout the movie. A number of the quotes are from that of Shakespeare, and some of the author himself. The movie shows the audience what needs to be seen through quotes, symbols and of course V.
Throughout the movie the character V never once shows his face. But the audience comes to know the character through the acting of Hugo Weaving. For an actor to portray a character without showing his face causes the actor has to connect with the audience on a more emotional level. Hugo goes beyond what he needs to and connects with the audiences much one can find themselves agreeing what he or she knows is morally wrong. Hugo makes the connection by his own personal imagination. See the mask dose not put the actor in a uncomfortable or unable to produce a necessary result. It actually helps the actor to produce the mindset they need to make up the character in the own mind.
There are many symbols in this movie such as roses, black bags, and the names of the characters names. In movies rose are usually a sign of love, but in V for Vendetta a rose is a sign for death. Before or after V kills someone he gives them a rose. Not just any rose he gives them a special bread of roses. See the rose breed he gave them is a dying breed; just like the people that he is killing they will become rare and scarce to find. The black bags are one of the most important symbols in this whole movie. Because if you had a black bagged you would have been killed by the government. Not just killed in the sense they are not living but that they have no record of living. The name of the characters is important because of the thing they symbolize. Such as Mr. Finch the name is a symbol because a finch is not harmful but can be as a hero in its own world. See although Mr. Finch dose not play a huge role in the movie he does have a important part for he could make or break V’s Plot. See the names of a character is symbolizing there heart and soul. Making the audience feel and understand the characters just a little more than they would have it the name meant nothing.
The Wachowski brothers wrote a one of a kind screen play. See they understood what they were making. Making a movie that’s more than just a terrorist being a hero. The movie is trying to say that it doesn’t only take one man can change the Government that might be corrupt. It takes a unified nation to change a corrupt government. Se we come to understand this through the entire movie. Because the movie shows the audience what needs to be seen through quotes, symbols and of course V.
